Welcome to PATINFO2015 "IP: cooperation, competition, confrontation". Venue: 10 - 12 June in Ilmenau, Germany
Intellectual property rights such as patents, trademarks or design protection could be the basis for a successful cooperation. On the other hand they support competition and may lead to confrontation, when it comes to enforcing those rights.
With this in mind we present various topics related to information retrieval, patent valuation and evaluation, trademarks and design as well as legal issues.
In the key notes the President of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the head of the patent information from the European Patent Office (EPO-Vienna) and a representative of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will present their views of the highly competitive area of property rights. In the main part, patent and trademark experts from industry, patent offices, information providers and academic institutions as well as patent attorneys will give their expertise on this subject.
In the accompanying exhibition and a series of short lectures, software providers and information service providers will present their latest developments.
A free workshop program will complete the event. The PATINFO2015, organized by the Thuringia patent Center PATON, will remain the forum for the exchange of experiences between patent attorneys, patent specialists, engineers, scientists, service and information providers and information brokers, offices and agencies of intellectual property rights.
The patent agency will present current technology offers of Thuringian universities and scientific institutions.
To facilitate the informal exchange and networking the conference will start on the 10th of June with a Welcome Reception, sponsored this year by the law firm CBH Rechtsanwälte, Köln and the PATON.
