44th Colloquium of the Ilmenau University of Technology on Patent Information and Intellectual Property Rights under the title Internationalization and Digitalization of the IP World will take place from June 22 to June 24, 2022.
The introduction of the European Unitary Patent, changes in European design law and in the German and Chinese patent systems will affect all IP-relevant areas: research, invention and idea management, application and granting procedures through to enforcement and exploitation of IP rights.
In addition to the above topics, we will talk about the further increase in digitalization, also in response to challenges posed by the pandemic. Digitalization not only influences the forms of collaboration in innovative companies, it also leads to innovative solutions to technical problems - relevant for searching, examining and granting IP rights. Changes in the framework conditions due to internationalization and digitalization of the IP world influence the work of research institutions and companies, information providers, law firms and patent offices. They lead to new search possibilities through cross-thematic networking of different data sources, new research tools with intelligent software use and more efficient information processing.
Experts from industry, patent offices, law firms, the information industry, data providers and research will explain the topics from their perspective.
In the accompanying exhibition and in a series of short presentations, software providers and information service providers will present their latest developments. Once again, the patent management team from Thuringia's universities will be there with current technology offers from the scientific field for which exploitation partners from industry are being sought.
